CLARIN Knowledge Centre for Terminology Resources and Translation Corpora (TRTC)
CLARIN Knowledge Center for Terminology Resources and Translation Corpora (TRTR) aims at providing a helpdesk, resources, materials and events covering
- terminology resources (termbases, glossaries, ontologies, etc.) and
- translation corpora (text, multimodal).
TRTC provides resources, materials and training to users on the preparation and documentation of translation-related resources, in particular terminology resources and translation corpora. This includes inquiries submitted to the Helpdesk related to tools, methods, data, and guidance in seeking further expert support.
CLARIN Knowledge Centre for Terminology Resources and Translation Corpora (TRTR) is based at the Centre for Translation Studies at the University of Vienna, Austria. The Centre for Translation Studies (ZTW) at the University of Vienna is one of 19 academic units (faculties and centres) of the University of Vienna. In addition to the area of teaching (transcultural communication, translation studies, translation and interpreting education in 14 languages, etc.). ZTW conducts research and teaching in several key research areas in translation studies. Translation studies adopts an interdisciplinary approach to conduct research on and impart knowledge of well-established professional areas such as technical translation, literature and media translation, terminology management, translation technology, language resources, conference interpreting, dialogue interpreting, etc.
